Part 8 - Conclusion

For every universal cycle, each of us gets a single shot at life in the physical dimension.

Here is the trick that the universe figured out. In one form or another, consciousness is infinite, and in order to not go insane our universe needs an infinite amount of memories to think about, to occupy its thoughts. That is what triggers each new big bang. Our universe doesn’t just crave memories, it craves new memories, and when all consciousness ends up on the brain dimension side of the universe, no new memories are coming in from the physical side. Once this happens insanity sets in, and the only way to alleviate its suffering is for the universe to break itself apart, so it can start collecting memories all over again.

Memories are made in the physical dimension, but to pure consciousness, living in the physical world is a terrifying prospect. This led our universe to create the ultimate divide and conquer. By living just one single life inside the physical dimension - however terrifying that thought might be - it will have gained access to a universe full of memories once it dies and enters the collective consciousness. It can then explore those memories and keep itself occupied - and safe - for as long as consciousness remains alive in the physical dimension.

Starting with our own big bang, then to the evolution of consciousness inside the physical dimension, followed by the creation of Child Brain and its collective consciousness, and finally to the death of Child Brain after the brain dimension reaches one hundred percent capacity and big bangs again - however many trillions of years that will take - is but one single breath for our universe.

Our universe breathes to survive in the same sense that human beings breathe to survive, but what our universe breathes is consciousness. Each big bang exhales energy into the physical dimension, then the brain dimension pulls this energy back in, sorted into the form of memories. Those memories are absorbed by the collective consciousness, shuffled into order, then exhaled back out into the next big bang, rebirthing and improving the universe through each of these cycles.

But even this will not last forever. Just like you cannot stretch a rubber band over and over again without it someday breaking, so will the fabric of spacetime weaken and one day not be able to contain a single more big bang. This is how our entire multiverse will end, by wearing itself so thin it eventually rips apart.

When this happens, when our multiverse dies, consciousness will ascend to its next level of reality and start living a brand new existence, one governed by similar - yet uniquely adapted for its environment - rules for life. But no matter what this existence looks like, and no matter how long it takes our multiverse to get there, it will still be you and I as its consciousness. Together, forever.

We are a brain, and we are living inside a brain.

We can never escape it, but we can do some amazing things from inside of it, when we choose.
